Prototype background:
The TW class tank cars were a familiar sight across the South Australian Railways (SAR) network, later operated by Australian National Railways (ANR) and Australian National (AN). Primarily used to transport water, these wagons sometimes performed special duties supplying additional water to the SAR weed spray trains, helping keep the extensive network clear of invasive growth. Their distinctive shapes and varied liveries made them an eye-catching part of many consists across South Australia.
